This Rickenbacker 4003 bass offers all of the timeless tone and traditional styling of a classic RIC solidbody bass. The distinctive body is carved from maple and paired with a through-body maple neck to deliver that renowned RIC sustain, full-bodied low-end, and punchy, articulate trebles. With an ultra-comfortable 33.25" scale length and a rosewood fingerboard, the Rickenbacker 4003 holds true to its enduring reputation of superb playability. Catering to the unmistakable Rickenbacker vibe, the body and neck of the 4003 are adorned with white binding while the fingerboard boasts elegant deluxe triangular inlays. With a unique vintage voice that you'd only expect from a Rickenbacker bass, the 4003 comes outfitted with a pair of single coil pickups. Both the bass and treble pickups sport independent volume and tone controls while additional sonic flexibility is offered by the push/pull treble tone control knob that can take you from a vintage to modern bass sound on the fly. The RIC 4003 also comes equipped with a Standard output jack and Rick-O-Sound output jack to allow for mono and stereo performance capabilities. High-quality chrome hardware includes a set of Schaller Deluxe open-geared tuning machines and a RIC bridge/tailpiece featuring a built-in damper to deliver that classic muted bass sound.
