Bathing is a liminal delay: perhaps a reverb, or a phaser, or a classic delay, but never exactly any one of these things. It’s a style of effect unique to the Old Blood lineup. You pick the overall delay time, the number of allpass filter stages it runs through to get there, and how you want to modulate the character of those stages. Turn knobs, fear not, and be sure to save that preset when you find it! This versatile pedal is designed to integrate seamlessly into a wide variety of rigs, featuring stereo in and out with an analog dry through signal that keeps your original tone pure. You can choose between trails or true bypass switching, depending on whether you want your delays to naturally fade out or cut off instantly. With the ability to save presets and connect an expression pedal for control over every knob, you'll have endless possibilities for sound sculpting right at your feet. For even more control, Bathing offers full MIDI integration, including MIDI clock in and out for syncing with your other gear. Bathing's intuitive controls make it easy to dial in the perfect sound. The Time knob sets the central delay time, while holding the Tap footswitch lets you choose from six different subdivisions. The Stages knob lets you adjust how many times the delay repeats, from two to twelve stages, while the Feedback control sets the overall amount. You can shape the character of the delay with the Filter control, making it darker or brighter to suit your taste. For adding dynamic movement, the Rate, Depth, and Shape controls let you manipulate the delay's motion with a variety of LFO shapes and envelope options. You also have independent control over your Dry and Wet signal levels, and you can add subtle stereo chorus or mono vibrato to the wet signal with the Dimension control. The two footswitches give you ultimate control: a Tap/Aux switch for tapping in tempo, infinite feedback, or switching presets, and a soft-touch Bypass footswitch for quiet, relay-based switching.
